Everything except `manifest.json` and `icons/` is byte-identical in both folders — edit in `chrome/` and copy across. Bundle format: `{ portage:{ format:"portage-bundle", version:1, source, exportedAt, … }, meta:{ counts }, data:{ <category>: … } }`.
